{"id":262,"date":"2016-02-18T16:35:47","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T16:35:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/davidbezold.com\/?p=262"},"modified":"2016-03-17T18:03:45","modified_gmt":"2016-03-17T18:03:45","slug":"tyler-bezold-named-enquirer-athlete-of-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davidbezold.com\/index.php\/tyler-bezold-named-enquirer-athlete-of-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Holy Cross&#8217; Tyler Bezold follows in father&#8217;s footsteps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Tuesday night Tyler Bezold was honored before the Indians&#8217; game against 35th District rival Covington Catholic with a commemorative basketball celebrating his 1,000th career point scored against Holmes.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating the milestone with his father, who is also a member of Holy Cross&#8217; 1,000-point club, was a particularly memorable moment for the senior forward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;He told me he was proud of me,&#8221; Bezold said. &#8220;It was awesome just hearing those words from him, because I&#8217;ve been working with him my whole life. Every time I ask if we can go shoot, he always says absolutely, any time &#8211; it&#8217;s been awesome.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In addition to those countless shooting sessions with his dad, Bezold credits all of his father&#8217;s former players for turning him into the player he is today.
